Foundation

The company was founded in 2005 by the brothers Bülent, Kudret and Sükür Acikgöz. Bülent Acikgöz, a trained carpenter, and the two business school graduates Kudret and Sükür Acikgöz decided to take the plunge into a segment that many banks had already dismissed. The concentration was on young used cars and single-day registrations, something that has not changed to this day. Today, the company is among the big players in this segment and determines the prices on the European market for many makes and models.

Business Development

The company started in 2005 with 5 vehicles in an office container on approximately 500 square meters in Rennerod, Germany. Now, Auto Empire in Butzbach, Germany, covers an area of around 14,000 square meters and presents up to 800 young used cars and single-day registrations at peak periods. Satisfied customers from over 46 countries around the world are a confirmation for high quality vehicles and exclusive service at unbeatable prices.

Launch of our French website www.auto-empire.de/fr . The complete website was professionally translated into French.

2019

Used Car Award 2019: Throughout Germany, 235 well-known dealerships (mainly authorized dealerships and authorized trade groups) participated in the competition. The jury consisting of Gebrauchtwagen-Praxis, DEKRA, Real Garant and Santander Consumer Bank awarded us 3rd place. With respect to used cars, we belong to the best three dealerships in Germany.

2019

Launch of our English website www.auto-empire.de/en . The complete website was professionally translated into English to better serve our international customers. French, Spanish and Italian will follow soon.

5-star award from Autoscout24 for being "one of the best car dealers in Germany".

Receipt of the CrefoZert from Creditreform for the second time. The credit rating index improved from 215 to 207. The awarding of the CrefoZert requires a credit rating of 250 and less. An index of 207 is a rarity in this branch.

2018

Launch of the new website: Following 13 months of development, launch of the new website www.auto-empire.de. The aim of the new website is to set new standards in the industry.

Commissioning of the self-developed merchandise management software SAM: SAM is short for Smart Auto Management. Following five years of development, the company's self-developed software was successfully commissioned on October 1st. The new website is based on SAM.

5-star award from Autoscout24 for being "one of the best car dealers in Germany".

Receipt of the CrefoZert from Creditreform for outstanding credit rating. According to Creditreform, we are in the range of 1.7 percent of German companies that Creditreform considers exceptionally creditworthy. When we were awarded (01/2018), our credit rating index was 215.

2012

Restructuring of the company in preparation for an expansion: Foundation of the new operating company Auto Empire Trading GmbH, renaming of the holding company into Auto Empire Holding GmbH.

2011

Opening of tax-free sales to EU countries and non-EU countries. With a foreign share of about 40 percent, we are now one of the few specialists in this field.

2009

Scrappage bonus year: The most successful business year so far with almost 2,000 vehicles sold.

2007

Winning the house bank over to provide financing for the second company site with 10,000 square meters in Butzbach and moving into the second company site.

2006

Winning automobile banks over to finance the stock on hand.
